The policy in full

This policy is from the trustee of the trust registered under ABN 32 479 582 852, trading as Leadwave Studio (we, us, our), North Strathfield NSW 2137. It covers people who visit leadwavestudio.com, people who send us an enquiry or ask for our checklist, and our clients. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What do you collect when I send an enquiry?

When you ask for a free homepage on our contact page, we collect your name, email address, phone number and business name. We also collect the answers you give about your business: the type of business, the suburbs or areas you work in, whether you have a website, what a typical job is worth to you, what you want fixed, when you want to start, and anything else you choose to tell us. We don't ask for sensitive information such as health details, and we ask that you don't send it to us.

2. What do you collect when I ask for the checklist?

Your email address, and your first name if you give it.

3. What do you collect if I become a client?

The details we need to do the work and to bill you: your contact and business details, your answers to our onboarding form, our emails with you, and records of your invoices and payments. If you pay by card, Stripe handles your card details. We don't see or store your full card number. If you pay by bank transfer, our bank records the payment details.

4. What does the website record when I visit?

The site uses cookies and two analytics tools. The first is built into Zarla, the platform the site runs on. It sets a cookie that lasts one year to recognise a returning browser, and a session cookie that lasts 30 minutes. It records the pages you view, the site you came from, your device type, screen size and browser, any campaign tags in the link you followed, and clicks on buttons and email links. If you send us a form, that visit record is linked to your enquiry. This tool switches off if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. The second is Google Analytics. It sets cookies and sends information about your visit to Google. Google's advertising features are turned on, which means Google may link your visit to your Google account and use it to build advertising audiences. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them. You can browse the site without telling us who you are.

5. Why do you collect it?

To reply to your enquiry and build the free homepage you asked for. To send the checklist you asked for. To deliver our services, send invoices and take payment. To see how the site is used and which pages bring enquiries, so we can improve it. To meet our legal and tax obligations.

6. Who do you share it with?

We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers we use to run the business. Zarla: website hosting, enquiry forms, site analytics, proposals and invoices. Google: Google Analytics, and our email and file storage. Stripe: card payments. Tally: client onboarding forms. AI tools from Anthropic, Google and OpenAI: research, drafting and quality checks on client work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

7. Is my information stored overseas?

It may be. Some of the providers listed in clause 6 store information outside Australia, including in the United States.

8. How do you store it, and for how long?

We hold personal information in the systems of the providers listed in clause 6, not on paper. Access is limited to the people at Leadwave Studio who need it to do the work. Our accounts with these providers are protected by two-step sign-in. Enquiries that don't become client work are kept for 24 months, then deleted. Client records are kept for 7 years after the work ends. Checklist requests are kept until you ask us to remove you.

9. Will you send me marketing emails?

No. If you ask for the checklist, we send the checklist. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we only follow up if you ask us to.

10. How do I see, correct or delete my information?

Email hello@leadwavestudio.com and tell us what you need. You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. We respond within 30 days, at no charge.

11. How do I make a complaint?

Email hello@leadwavestudio.com and tell us what happened. We respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

12. I'm a customer of one of your clients. Who looks after my information?

That business does. We handle its customers' information only to deliver our services to it, as set out in clause 16 of our Service Agreement at leadwavestudio.com/service-agreement.

13. Will this policy change?

We update this page when what we do changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Questions about this policy go to hello@leadwavestudio.com.
